Angelina Jolie as "Maleficent"! 

 

OH MY GOD.

i've been waiting for Disney to release a promo pic for one of their most anticipated movies. they finally did it today! it's only one picture with only the face and the horns but it's enough to send a lot of movie fans (me included) in fanboy/fangirl mode! i can't stop staring at the picture! GAAAAH!!

i'm too lazy to copy all the reactions from twitter. trust me, there are loads of them!:)) but i was able to make a screencap when Angie was trending worldwide.:) i'm sure she was in a higher position than 9th but i was late in taking the screencap. well, the most important thing is she was trending for hours.:)

also, i think i'm going to buy this toy! LOL. but it's cute!:))

waaaaaahh!!! i can't wait to see Angie as Maleficent! it's been almost 2 years since i last saw her on the big screen (The Tourist). sadly, i'll have to wait for another 2 years....

bummer! but yeah, Maleficent won't arrive in the theaters 'til March 2014.:(( i'm fine with it though as long as i get to see a high quality movie, then it will be worth the long wait.:)

The Walt Disney Studios announced today that production began Wednesday, June 13th, on Maleficent, starring Academy Award®–winning actress Angelina Jolie.

Directed by two-time Oscar®-winning production designer Robert Stromberg (Avatar, Alice in Wonderland), in his directorial debut, and produced by Joe Roth, Maleficent is written by Linda Woolverton (The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast) and executive produced by Angelina Jolie, Don Hahn, Matt Smith and Palak Patel.

Co-starring in the film are Sharlto Copley (District 9), Elle Fanning (Super 8), Sam Riley (On the Road), Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake), Miranda Richardson (The Hours), Juno Temple (Atonement) and Lesley Manville (Secrets & Lies).

This is the untold story of Disney’s most beloved villain, Maleficent, from the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty. The film reveals the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora.

Behind-the-scenes talent includes Academy Award®–winning cinematographer Dean Semler (Dances with Wolves, In the Land of Blood and Honey), production designer Gary Freeman (Saving Private Ryan, The Bourne Supremacy), two-time Oscar® nominated costume designer Anna B. Sheppard (Schindler’s List,The Pianist) and seven-time Academy Award–winning makeup artist Rick Baker (Planet of the Apes, Men in Black).

Maleficent is scheduled for a March 14, 2014 release in 3D.

a friend advised me to create a blog to help her out (she also recently created one). unlike her though, i am not a good writer. so what shall i do?? i decided i use this one for my 'fangirling'. i have a lot to 'fangirl' about. i love sports, movies & celebrities. so, expect a lot of pics and less text on my blog entries.:)) and also, i am a compassionate person (i claim to be. heh!) who wants to touch people's lives and be touched also by their humble stories. i may also blog about that.:)
